The terms ‘damp proofing’ and ‘waterproofing’ are still used interchangeably even by people of the construction industry.
Though, these terms are not equivalent.
Actually they are very distinct.
Damp proofing refers to traditional products usually based on unmodified bitumen.
The next damp proofing training course from the Property Care Association (PCA) is being held in October.
Taking place over one and a half days, the Damp Proofing Technicians’ Training Course runs from Tuesday, October 20.
Topics covered include health and safety, DPC installation in theory and practice, high and low pressure injection, transfusion and injection mortar.
